Hamstad Commits to Minnesota State - Mankato

CEDAR RAPIDS- Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward Chase Hamstad has committed to play his college hockey at Minnesota State University - Mankato.  Hamstad, from Hugo, Minnesota, is in his first season with Cedar Rapids.     

 “I am honored to announce my commitment to play college hockey for Minnesota State University” stated Hamstad. “I would like to thank my coaches and family for their support along the way” concluded Hamstad.

While playing for White Bear Lake High School in Minnesota from 2015-2018, Hamstad scored 36 goals and 69 assists.  He also had four points (2 goals and 2 assists) in ten regular season games and one point (assist) in four post-season games with the Jamestown Rebels in the 2017-2018 season.
