Scott Perunovich, who played for the RoughRiders during the 2016-2017 season, has proven himself as a leader among his teammates at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. With two NCAA championships already under his belt, the defenseman is thought to be a contender for this year’s Hobey Baker Award, which is given to the top men’s hockey player in the nation.

While in a RoughRiders jersey, Perunovich played in 56 games and tallied 21 points. He was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in 2017. This season, his third at Minnesota Duluth, he has 21 points in 16 games.
