Today’s RoughRider Game Postponed Due to Weather
Tomorrow’s RoughRider Game Postponed Due to Weather</font></center></p><br><p>January 5, 2005- Tomorrow night’s game (January 6th) between the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Green Bay Gamblers at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena has been postponed because of inclement weather, the RoughRiders announced today.</p><br><p>The game will be rescheduled for a date to be determined.</p><br><p>“In light of the bad weather passing through the area and with forecasts predicting it will continue into tomorrow, we felt that this was right decision,” said RoughRiders Vice President of Operations Jim Calpin. “We made this decision in the interest of the safety of players, fans, staff and officials who would have been traveling to the game.”</p><br><p>Tickets for the originally scheduled game will be honored on the rescheduled date.</p><br><p>The RoughRiders’ ticket office at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena will be closed today because of the weather. In addition, the Riders’ downtown business office will close today at 1:00PM.</p><br><p>The ticket office will re-open tomorrow from noon to 5:00PM. The business office will re-open for normal hours tomorrow.</p><br><p>The RoughRiders will return to action when they host the Tri-City Storm this Friday night at 7:05. The first 2,000 fans arriving at that game will receive free RoughRiders “Bell Ringers” action posters.</p><br><p>Tickets for Friday night’s game- and all remaining RoughRiders home games- will once again be available when the ticket office re-opens. Tickets can be purchased over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or in person at the ice arena. The ticket office is normally open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $8.00 to $17.00 including a 50-cent facility fee. </p> |
