Game Summary: January 2, 2005- RoughRiders 2 Green Bay 4

<p>The Green Bay Gamblers scored three unanswered third period goals on the way to a 4-2 win over the host RoughRiders Sunday evening.</p> <p>The loss ended the Riders&#8217; run of 17 games without a regulation defeat and also halted Cedar Rapids&#8217; six-game winning streak.</p> <p>The Riders entered the third period leading 2-1, but Green Bay would tie the score on a Garrett Suter goal at the 6:24 mark. Suter&#8217;s shot from the high slot knuckled past Rider goaltender Dan Tormey on the glove side.</p> <p>Mark Stockdale gave Green Bay the lead at the midway point of the third. Stockdale wristed the puck home from the left wing circle.</p> <p>Brian Roloff shoveled the puck home from the doorstep with 2:25 left in the game to provide the Gamblers with some insurance.</p> <p>The Riders had erased an earlier 1-0 Gambler lead with two second period goals. Matt Vokes snapped the puck under the cross bar from the right wing circle to even the score at one at 11:40 of the second.</p> <p>Justin Abdelkader&#8217;s power play goal put the Riders on top with just 53 seconds remaining in the second. Ted Purcell&#8217;s drive from the high slot hit bounced off Abdelkader in front of the net and Abdelkader chipped the puck past Green Bay goalie Zane Kalemba.</p> <p>The Gamblers first took the lead just 2:20 into the game on a Mark Magnowski wrist shot from the right wing circle.</p> <p><a href="http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/boxscore.html?gameid=134673" target="_blank">Box Score</a></p>
