RoughRiders Welcome New Year with Special Events
<P>December 29, 2004- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will ring in the New Year with a series of special events as they play home games against the Chicago Steel tomorrow evening and the Green Bay Gamblers Sunday afternoon. </P>
<P>Tomorrow night fans can watch the on ice action between the RoughRiders and Steel beginning at 7:05 and then celebrate the New Year just a bit early by catching a fire works display outside the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena after the game. </P>
<P>Tomorrow evening is also a “Skate with the Players Night” as fans will have a chance to lace up their skates and join the RoughRiders on the ice after the game. Skate rental will be available.</P>
<P>There’s more fun in store as the RoughRiders take to the ice for the first time in 2005 when they host the Gamblers Sunday afternoon at 4:05. Kids’ tickets to Sunday’s game cost just $5. The reduced ticket price is available to children 12-and-under for all seats. In addition, after Sunday’s game, fans will again have the opportunity to hit the ice themselves and skate with the Riders.</P>
<P>Sunday is also a family pack day. Fans can get four green zone seats, four hot dogs, four fountain drinks and a game program all for just $44. The Family Pack is available for all of the RoughRiders’ Friday and Sunday home games.</P>
<P>Tickets for RoughRider home games- including the contests tomorrow and Sunday- are now on sale at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office. Tickets can be purchased over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or in person at the ice arena. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $8.00 to $17.00 including a 50-cent facility fee.</P> |
