Knowlton's Late Goal Pushes Bucs Past Riders

Chris Knowlton scored the game winning goal with just 1:15 left in the third period as the host Des Moines Buccaneers defeated the RoughRiders 2-1 Saturday night.

Knowlton fired the puck home from the high slot to snap a 1-1 deadlock.

It was the Riders who first grabbed the lead while on the power play when Mike Seidel swept the puck past Des Moines goaltender Keith Kincaid (34 saves) at 7:47 of the second period.

Just over three minutes later the Bucs evened the scored when Greg Burgdoerfer jammed the puck in from the doorstep.
