Forward Robin Bergman has returned to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders after starting this season at Notre Dame, the RoughRiders announced today.
“The team is excited to have Robin back- he’s a good person and a solid player,” said RoughRiders Coach and General Manager Mark Carlson.
Bergman, 19, scored 26 goals- tied for tenth most in the United States Hockey League- and totaled 43 points in 52 games with the Riders last season. The Stockholm, Sweden, native also skated in last year’s USHL Prospects/All-Star Game.
The RoughRiders (21-7-1, 43 points) are currently in second place in the USHL’s East Division. The Riders will visit the Chicago Steel tomorrow night before returning home for a pair of games this weekend. The Riders will battle the Steel again Friday night at 7:05 and will take on the Sioux Falls Stampede Saturday evening at the same time.
