<p>Greg Collins converted the winning penalty shot as the RoughRiders defeated the host Sioux City Musketeers 4-3 in a shootout Tuesday night.</p> <p>The win was the Riders&#8217; seventh straight on the road, a new team record. The Riders are now unbeaten in regulation (11-0-2) in their last 13 games overall, another club record.</p> <p>Collins scored on the Riders&#8217; eighth penalty shot to snap a 1-1 tie in the shootout. His wrist shot hit the post, caromed off the back of Sioux City goaltender Jeff Zatkoff and into the net.</p> <p>Brandon Svendsen- who had already scored a penalty shot goal in regulation and also added an assist- was the only other Rider to find the net in the shootout. The Musketeer&#8217;s produced only a Tim Kennedy goal from eight penalty shots. Sioux City did earn one point for the shootout loss.</p> <p>The Musketeers had to come back from a 3-1 deficit to earn their point. </p> <p>Justin Bostrom knocked a loose puck home through traffic from the slot to narrow the Rider advantage to 3-2 at 18:09 of the second period.</p> <p>Just 1:44 into the third period, Travis Turnbull tied the game at three. Chris Minella forced Zach Miskovic off the puck in the slot and Turnbull pounced to snap it past Rider goaltender Alex Stalock (27 saves).</p> <p>The Riders built their 3-1 lead by scoring three times over two periods on just eleven shots against Sioux City starting goaltender Jimmy Spratt. Zatkoff (14 saves) would replace Spratt at the start of the third period.</p> <p>The Riders snapped a 1-1 tie on Svendsen&#8217;s penalty shot goal at 7:33 of the second period. The penalty shot was awarded after Svendsen was dragged down by Sioux City defenseman Joe Charlebois. Svendsen swept the puck under Spratt&#8217;s arm to give the Riders the lead.</p> <p>Grabarek converted Svendsen&#8217;s goalmouth feed to extend the lead to 3-1 at 16:50 of the second.</p> <p>Both teams scored power play goals in the first period. Ray Eichenlaub&#8217;s one timer from the right wing circle opened the scoring at 8:51. </p> <p>Just 1:41 later, the Musketeers tied the game when Dennis McCauley redirected a Charlebois shot past Stalock.</p> <p><a href="http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/boxscore.html?gameid=134649" target="_blank">Box Score</a></p>
