RoughRiders Slip Past Tri-City 2-1

David Boehm broke a 1-1 tie with at 13:39 of the third period and the host RoughRiders went on to defeat the Tri-City Storm 2-1 Saturday night.

Boehm streaked in behind the Storm defense, cut across the goal mouth and swept in what would prove to be the game winner from close range.

The Riders and Storm swapped second period power play goals. Nick Oddo charged through the right wing circle and snapped a wrist shot home to give the Riders a 1-0 lead at 3:19 of the second. Tri-City evened the score just 2:11 later when Jimmy Jensen buried the puck from the doorstep.
