The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have teamed up with Rockwell Collins to hold a series of online auctions to benefit the United Way of East Central Iowa.
A variety of Riders’ memorabilia, including signed jerseys and sticks, will go up for bid through ScoreBid, the Riders’ online auction partner. A new item will be auctioned off every ten days- currently available to the highest bidder is a RoughRiders Rockwell Collins warmup jerseys autographed by the 2007-08 RoughRiders. All auction proceeds will go to the United Way of East Central Iowa. United Way of East Central Iowa serves groups and individuals in Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Jones, Linn and Washington counties. In 2006 the United Way of East Central Iowa raised over $9 million and supported 32 agencies which represent 67 human service programs.

The RoughRiders (7-2-1, 15 points), who lead the United States Hockey League’s East Division, return to action this weekend with games against the Omaha Lancers Friday night and the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets Saturday evening. Both games start at 7:05PM.
Tickets for all remaining RoughRiders regular season home games- including this weekend’s games- are now on sale. Tickets are available for purchase in person at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office, over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or online at roughridershockey.com. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $7 to $17 in advance and from $8 to $18 on game days.
