Game Summary: December 10, 2004- Omaha 3 RoughRiders 2 (OT)

<p>Corey Carlson scored 37 seconds into overtime to give the Omaha Lancers a 3-2 victory over the host RoughRiders Friday night.</p> <p>The Riders did earn one point for the sudden death loss. While the Riders&#8217; six game winning streak was snapped, they remain unbeaten in regulation (9-0-2) over their last eleven games, a new team record.</p> <p>Carlson delivered the game winner when he pounced on a loose puck in the slot and wristed it home under the crossbar.</p> <p>Omaha twice came from behind to tie the game in regulation, the second time with just 2:09 left in the third period. Chris Hepp knotted the game at two apiece when his shot from the right wing board bounced off a leg in front of the Rider net and caromed over the goal line.</p> <p>Phil Axtell had staked the Riders to a 2-1 lead at 3:53 of the third. Omaha goaltender Jeff Lerg stopped Billy Loupee&#8217;s drive from the top of the right wing circle, but Axtell buried the rebound to give the Riders their second lead of the night.</p> <p>The Riders held a 1-0 advantage in the second period until former Rider Brandon Naurato scored on a 2-on-1 break, snapping the puck past Rider goaltender Alex Stalock (26 saves) from the left wing circle at 6:46 of the second.</p> <p>The Riders were outshot 12-2 in the second period, but Stalock made a number of fine saves to keep the Lancers from taking the lead.</p> <p>The Riders first jumped on top when Erik Felde crashed the net to give Cedar Rapids a 1-0 lead at 17:37 of the first period.</p> <p><a href="http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/boxscore.html?gameid=134643" target="_blank">Box Score</a></p>
