The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders open their 2007 training camp this afternoon at 2:30 at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.

Camp will continue over the weekend with double sessions tomorrow and Sunday. The Riders are slated to practice from 8:00 to 10:00AM and from 4:00 to 6:00PM both days, though practice times are subject to change. All of this weekend’s sessions- with the exception of Sunday morning’s practice- will be open to the public. The camp will continue with single practices at 2:30PM beginning next Monday.

The Riders will open their six-game preseason schedule at the Coral Ridge Ice Arena in Coralville against the Des Moines Buccaneers on Tuesday night, September, 18 at 7:05.

The Riders start their ninth regular season on Friday, October 5, against the Chicago Steel in Bensenville, Illinois. One night later, the Riders will return to Cedar Rapids for their home opener against the Indiana Ice. 2007-08 season tickets are currently available through the RoughRiders’ business office (319-247-0340). Season ticket holders receive a host of special benefits available to exclusively to them.

Regular season single game tickets will go on sale on Monday, September 24 at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office.
