The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will open their six-game 2007 preseason schedule at the Coral Ridge Ice Arena in Coralville against the Des Moines Buccaneers on Tuesday night, September, 18 at 7:05.

Admission to the preseason opener is free. This marks the second time in three years the Riders will take to the ice at Coral Ridge Mall for a preseason game. The Riders also met the Buccaneers in Coralville prior to the 2005-06 season.

The Riders will play their second exhibition game in as many nights on Wednesday, September 19, when the arch rival Waterloo Black Hawks visit the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena for a 7:05 tilt.

Tickets for that game- the only preseason contest the Riders will play at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena- will be available to the general public for just $7 and will go on sale the day of the game. Admission is included in season ticket holders’ packages.

The Riders will travel to Waterloo for a rematch with the Black Hawks on Tuesday evening, September 25 at 7:05. The Riders will round out the preseason at the first annual USHL Fall Classic- the tournament that replaces the Buc Bowl as the USHL’s preseason show piece- in Sioux City September 27-29. On the first night of the tournament, the Riders will take on the host Sioux City Musketeers at the Tyson Events Center at 7:05. The following afternoon at 3:00 the Riders will meet the Lincoln Stars at the IBP Ice Center before returning to the Tyson Events Center to wrap up their exhibition slate against the Sioux Falls Stampede Saturday, September 29 at 4:00PM.

The Riders will open training camp on Friday, September, 14.

The Riders start their ninth regular season on Friday, October 5, against the Chicago Steel in Bensenville, Illinois. One night later, the Riders will return to Cedar Rapids for their home opener against the Indiana Ice. 2007-08 season tickets are currently available through the RoughRiders’ business office (319-247-0340). Season ticket holders receive a host of special benefits available to exclusively to them.

Regular season single game tickets will go on sale on a date to be determined in September.
