Marvel Comics’ Spiderman will make his triumphant return to the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena this Saturday night as the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders host the Indiana Ice. The game begins at 7:05PM.

Spiderman will be making his third appearance at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. The web slinger also appeared at RoughRiders games each of the last two years.

Spidey will make his return to the big screen when the highly anticipated Spiderman 3 hits movie theatres May 4.

Also on Saturday night, the RoughRiders, in cooperation with the Cedar Rapids Jaycees, will host their final food drive of the season. The Riders and Jaycees have teamed up for monthly food drives throughout the season to benefit the HACAP Food Reservoir.

The Cedar Rapids chapter of the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) is a community-based leadership training organization for men and women age 21-40.

HACAP- Hawkeye Area Community Action Program, Inc- has been providing services to eliminate the causes of poverty in Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn and Washington counties for four decades. The HACAP Food Reservoir channels donated products to area soup kitchens, pantries, homeless shelters, day care centers and other nonprofit food programs that feed the needy.

The RoughRiders (34-17-5, 73 points) are tied with the Waterloo Black Hawks for first place in the United States Hockey League’s East Division. The Riders will open this weekend by taking on the Gamblers in Green Bay Friday night before returning home for Saturday evening’s clash with the Ice.

Tickets for Saturday’s game and the Riders’ April 14 regular season home finale are now on sale. Tickets are available for purchase in person at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office, over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or on line at www.roughridershockey.com. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $7 to $17 in advance and from $8 to $18 on game days.
