"Over the years, the USHL
Prospects/All-Star Game has grown into one of the premiere scouting
showcases of the hockey season. Each year nearly every NCAA Division
I team and every NHL team have at least one representative at the event,"
said USHL President Gino Gasparini. "This year should be no exception.
The USHL and the Waterloo Black Hawks are thrilled to partner for this
event and bring our best to hockey fans world-wide."
The rosters for the Prospects/All-Star
Game are selected by the USHL by a vote of the league's coaches. Last
year, two USHL All-Stars, Kyle Okposo and Trevor Lewis, were drafted
in the first round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. In all, 31 players with
USHL backgrounds were selected.
"B2 Networks is proud
and honored to help showcase the caliber of hockey talent that will
be seen at this game," said Bruce LeVine, B2 Networks Vice President
of Sports. "Our partnership with the USHL has grown tremendously
during the past two years and we look forward to helping the league
continue it's success on the ice and with hockey fans everywhere."
