Chuckie of Nickolodeon’s Rugrats and All Grown Up! will appear this Saturday night at the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders’ game against the Chicago Steel. The game begins at 7:05PM.

Chuckie’s appearance is sure to bring smiles to the faces of younger fans. With his red hair and prominent teeth, Chuckie is easily recognizable as one of the stars of the animated Rugrats T.V. series and movies and of the series All Grown Up!

Chuckie’s arrival is just the latest in a series of family-oriented promotions at RoughRiders games this season. SpongeBob SquarePants will make his long awaited return to the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena on Friday, December 29 when the RoughRiders take on the Green Bay Gamblers.

Saturday evening is also the RoughRiders’ third Food Drive Night of the season. The Riders and the Cedar Rapids Jaycees are again this season teaming up for monthly food drives to benefit the HACAP Food Reservoir. The Jaycees collect canned food items at the RoughRiders’ first Saturday home game of each month.

The Riders (11-5-0, 22 points) are in second place in the United States Hockey League’s East Division entering action this weekend. The Riders’ will open the weekend with a home game against the Indiana Ice Friday at 7:05PM before welcoming the Steel Saturday evening. Tickets for this weekend’s games- and all remaining RoughRider home games- can be purchased in person at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office, over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or on line at www.roughridershockey.com. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $7 to $17 including a 50-cent facility fee.
