October 13, 2006- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will debut brand new Rockwell Collins warm-up jerseys prior to the Riders’ game tomorrow night against the Chicago Steel. The game faces off at 7:05PM.

It what has become an annual event, the jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit the United Way at the end of the season.

“We are very happy our partnership with Rockwell Collins has made it possible for us to again assist the United Way through the end-of-season jersey auction,” said RoughRiders Vice President of Operations Jim Calpin.

The green warm-up jerseys are trimmed in white and feature the Rockwell Collins logo across the chest and the RoughRiders’ horseshoe crest on the shoulders. The Riders will wear them for the first time during pre-game warm-ups prior to tomorrow night’s meeting with the Steel and will don them again before all home games the rest of the season.

Tomorrow’s contest is the second game of a weekend home-and-home series between the Riders and Steel. The Riders will visit Bensenville, Illinois, tonight. The Riders opened the season with a 4-2 loss to the Green Bay Gamblers last Saturday.

Tomorrow’s game is the second of five straight Saturday home dates for the RoughRiders. Tickets for all RoughRiders home games- including tomorrow’s- can be purchased in person at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office, over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or on line at www.roughridershockey.com. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days, including tomorrow. Ticket prices range from $7 to $17 in advance and from $8 to $18 on game days.
