Single game tickets for Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 2006-07 regular season home games will go on sale Monday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office.

Beginning next week, the ticket office will be open from noon to 5:00PM Monday through Friday and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Tickets can be purchased in person at the box office or over the phone at (319) 261-4625. Tickets will also be available on line at www.roughridershockey.com. Ticket prices range from $7 to $17 in advance and from $8 to $18 on game days.

The Riders will open the regular season at home against the Green Bay Gamblers on Saturday night, October 7 at 7:05.

All fans in attendance at the opener will receive free 2006-07 RoughRiders magnet schedules courtesy of St. Luke’s Iowa Health System, Velocity Sports Performance, Aspen Athletic Clubs, i wireless and AM 1360 The Fan. Prior to the game fans will be able to tailgate outside the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena beginning at 4:00PM. Food and beverages will be available to tailgaters through Sodexho, the ice arena concessionaire. After the game fans will be treated to a fireworks display outside the arena.

Beginning with the opener, the RoughRiders will be in action at the ice arena on five consecutive Saturday nights. In preparation for the start of the regular season, the RoughRiders will play their lone home preseason game tomorrow night at 7:05 against the Des Moines Buccaneers. Tickets for that game are available for just $5 and will go on sale tomorrow at noon at the ice arena ticket office.

While regular season single game ticket sales do start Monday, season tickets remain available through the RoughRiders’ business office (247-0340). In addition to their seats, season ticket holders also receive a host of special benefits available exclusively to them.

In addition to full season tickets, the RoughRiders also offer the Flex Plan, which enables fans to purchase books of ten ticket vouchers that can be redeemed in any quantity for any regular season home game during normal box office hours. Fans who purchase the flex plan receive a significant discount ($21 off game day ticket prices) by investing in bulk tickets and can still enjoy the games of their choice in the seats they want.
