RoughRiders Release Gunderson

<p>April 5, 2006- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have released forward Ryan Gunderson, the RoughRiders announced today.</p> <p>Gunderson was released following a violation of team rules. Gunderson scored eight goals and totaled 12 points in 41 regular season games after joining the Riders following a November trade with the Tri-City Storm.</p> <p>The RoughRiders trail the Indiana Ice two games to one in the opening round of the Clark Cup playoffs. The Riders and Ice will meet in game four of the best-of-five series tomorrow night in Indianapolis. The Riders must win game four to force a fifth and deciding game Saturday night at 7:05 at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena</p> <p>Tickets for a possible fifth game can be purchased over the phone at (319) 261-4625, in person at the ice arena or on line at www.roughridershockey.com. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Playoff ticket prices range from $8 to $18 including a 50-cent facility fee. </p> <p>The Riders (33-21-6, 72 points) entered the playoffs on the heels of their second straight United States Hockey League East Division title. The Riders finished tied for first in the division with the Des Moines Buccaneers. </p>
