<DIV style="FLOAT: right"><IMG src="/content/portals/5/images/pietrusj.jpg"> <CENTER>#19 Jordan Pietrus</CENTER></DIV><P>March 21, 2006- The Sioux Falls Stampede scored four second period goals and got a 34-save effort from goaltender Alex Kangas on the way to a 5-2 win over the host RoughRiders Tuesday. </P> <P>The Sioux Falls onslaught started just 31 seconds into the second period when Casey Parenteau buried a Mark Magnowski centering pass to tie the score at one.</P> <P>The Stampede took the lead when Corey Tropp knocked in a rebound at 5:22 of the second.</P> <P>The Riders would battle back to tie the score at less than a minute later when Jordan Pietrus ripped the puck home just under the cross bar from the top of the right circle.</P> <P>The Riders were unable to solve Kangas again however. The Sioux Falls netminder was especially sharp in the second, stopping 16 Rider shots in the middle frame alone.</P> <P>The Stampede rebounded to take control with a pair of goals late in the second. Sioux Falls was on the power play when Drew Fischer scored what would prove to be the game winner from the blue line at the 15:09 mark.</P> <P>With just over 48 seconds left in the period, Jay Barribal, who led the Stampede attack with one goal and two assists, extended the lead to 4-2 with a wrist shot from the high slot.</P> <P>Late in the third period Mark Magnowski capped off the win for Sioux Falls by sweeping a Barriball centering feed under Rider netminder Al Stalock (23 saves).</P> <P>It was the Riders who got the jump early on, opening the scoring on David Strathman&#8217;s power play goal at 14:30 of the first period.
