Division<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> COMING IN<o:p></o:p>             The RoughRiders won three home games in five days last week.  The Riders defeated <st1:State w:st="on">Indiana</st1:State> 5-3 last Tuesday, edged <st1:City w:st="on">Waterloo</st1:City> 4-3 last Friday and dropped <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Green Bay</st1:place></st1:City> 4-1 last Friday.<o:p></o:p>             The Riders are just one point behind the East Division leading Des Moines Buccaneers.  The Riders stretched their lead over the third place Gamblers to seven points with last Saturday’s win over <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Green Bay</st1:place></st1:City>.<o:p></o:p>             Rider forwards Chad Costello (28-45-73) and Ted Purcell (17-50-67) both made team history last week.  Costello broke Rider team records for most goals and most assists in one season, while Purcell set new club records for most career points (134) and most single season assists.<o:p></o:p> Costello remains the league leader in points and ranks second in assists, behind only Purcell.  Purcell ranks third in points.  <o:p></o:p>             The Ice is tied with <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Waterloo</st1:City></st1:place> in the race for the fourth and final East Division playoff spot.  The Ice does have two crucial games in hand on the Black Hawks.  <o:p></o:p> <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Indiana</st1:place></st1:State> went 2-2-0 last week.  After last Tuesday’s loss to the Riders, the Ice swept a pair of games from the Sioux City Musketeers over the weekend.  <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Indiana</st1:place></st1:State> downed the Musketeers 3-2 in regulation last Friday and won by the same score in a shootout last Saturday.  Yesterday the Ice fell 6-4 in <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Chicago</st1:place></st1:City> and missed out on a chance to take over sole possession of fourth place in the east.              <o:p></o:p> <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Indiana</st1:place></st1:State> has gone 9-8-0 in 17 games since Jack Bowkus took over the coaching reins from Dean Grillo on January 25.<o:p></o:p> <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Indiana</st1:place></st1:State> boasts the league’s most effective power play (22.0 percent).<o:p></o:p> Garrett Roe (21-32-53) is <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Indiana</st1:place></st1:State>’s top point scorer and is tied for seventh in the USHL in points.  Eddie Del Grosso (18-26-44) leads USHL defensemen in goals and ranks third among blue liners in points.<o:p></o:p>             The Storm is one point ahead of <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Sioux City</st1:place></st1:City> in the battle for the final West division playoff berth.  The Storm defeated the Stars in <st1:City w:st="on">Lincoln</st1:City> 3-2 last Friday in overtime and one night later picked up one point for a 4-3 overtime loss in <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Des Moines</st1:place></st1:City>.<o:p></o:p> Tri-City has suffered just one regulation loss in its last eight games (4-1-3).  <o:p></o:p> Tri-City has scored a league low total of 151 goals this season.  The Storm is the league’s second best defensive club, allowing an average of just 2.7 goals per contest.<o:p></o:p> The Storm’s Jaroslav Markovic (30-23-53) ranks third in the league in goals and is tied for seventh in points.<o:p></o:p> Tri-City goaltender Aaron Rock leads the league in shutouts (7) and minutes played (2512:33) and ranks second in goals against average (2.13).<o:p></o:p>             The Storm is easily the least penalized team in the league.  Tri-City players spend an average of just 15.9 minutes in the penalty box per game.<o:p></o:p>             Last Friday’s win was the one hundredth of Bliss Littler’s three-year tenure behind the Tri-City bench.<o:p></o:p> The Stars went 2-0-1 last week.  <st1:City w:st="on">Lincoln</st1:City> downed <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Sioux City</st1:City></st1:place> 4-2 last Tuesday, picked up one point for a 3-2 overtime loss to Tri-City last Friday and edged the Omaha Lancers 3-2 last Saturday.<o:p></o:p>             The Stars are firmly ensconced in third place in the West Division and appear headed for an opening round playoff meeting with the Omaha Lancers.<o:p></o:p>             The Stars’ Mike Davies (24-37-61) ranks fourth in the league in point scoring.  <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Lincoln</st1:City></st1:place>’s Eli Vlaisavljevich (15-36-51) leads USHL defensemen in points.<o:p></o:p>             The Stars are the second highest scoring team in the league.  <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place
