RoughRiders to Auction Autographed Keith Tkachuk St. Louis Blues Practice Jersey
<p>March 13, 2006- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will auction off a St. Louis Blues practice jersey worn by and autographed by perennial All-Star Keith Tkachuk, the RoughRiders announced today. </p>
<p>The jersey will go up for bid on line beginning tonight at 7:00PM. Auction proceeds will benefit the RoughRiders’ Score for the Community Fund.</p>
<p>The RoughRiders have teamed up with EasyBids to hold the on-line auction, which will run for ten days. The jersey auction can be accessed through the EasyBids link on the Riders’ web site, www.roughridershockey.com. Bids on the jersey can be made using a major credit card.</p>
<p>EasyBids is one of the fastest growing eBay drop-off stores in the world. The Cedar Rapids EasyBids drop-off store is located at 1961 Blairs Ferry Road NE.</p>
<p>Now in his fourteenth professional season, Tkachuk is one of the preeminent power forwards in the National Hockey League. He has scored 443 goals and totaled 860 points in 878 career NHL games.</p>
<p>Score for the Community provides RoughRiders tickets to local charitable groups through corporate and individual donations. </p>
<p>The Riders (31-18-5, 67 points) are in second place in the USHL’s East Division. Coach Mark Carlson’s club returns to action tomorrow night at 6:05 on the road against the Indiana Ice. The Riders next take to the ice at home this Friday evening when they host the Tri-City Storm at 7:05. One night later, the Riders will meet the Lincoln Stars at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena at 7:05.</p>
<p>Tickets for this weekend’s games- and all remaining RoughRider home games- can be purchased in person at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office, over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or on line at www.roughridershockey.com. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $7 to $17 including a 50-cent facility fee.</p> |
