Game Summary: November 5, 2004 - Omaha 6 RoughRiders 4

<P>Corey Carlson broke a 4-4 tie at 8:57 of the third period and the host Omaha Lancers went on to defeat the RoughRiders 6-4 Friday night.</P> <P>Carlson buried a Jeff LoVecchio centering pass behind RoughRider goaltender Alex Stalock to snap the deadlock.</P> <P>Tim Miller&#8217;s empty net goal in the final minute finished off the RoughRiders.</P> <P>A wild six goal second period set the stage for Carlson&#8217;s game winner.</P> <P>Former Rider Brandon Naurato scored twice to give Omaha second period leads of 3-2 and 4-3, but the Matt Vokes twice evened the game up for the Riders.</P> <P>The Riders entered the second in front 2-0, but the Lancers got goals from Brock Bradford and Miller just 30 seconds apart to erase the Cedar Rapids lead just over a minute and a half into the period.</P> <P>Goals from Ted Purcell and Erik Felde had left the Riders on top after one. Purcell backhanded a Hunter Bishop centering pass home to open the scoring at 5:52.</P> <P>Felde streaked down the slot and fired a Jordan Pietrus feed past Omaha goaltender Jeff Lerg (15 saves) to double the lead.</P> <P>Dan Tormey started the game in goal for the Riders, but was replaced by Stalock after surrendering the fourth Omaha goal.
