RoughRider/Hawkeye Hockey Doubleheader Saturday
<p>February 9, 2006- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will team up with the University of Iowa hockey team for a double header this Saturday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.</p>
<p>The Hawkeyes will face off against Western Illinois University at 4:00PM. The RoughRiders and Omaha Lancers will complete the twin bill at 7:05PM. </p>
<p>This is the second time this season that the Riders and Hawkeyes have played a doubleheader at the ice arena. Iowa State defeated Iowa prior the RoughRiders' October 29 game. </p>
<p>One ticket will cover admission to both games of the doubleheader. </p>
<p>Iowa is enjoying an excellent season. The Hawkeyes have gone 12-4-2 overall this season and are in second place in the Division II Mid-American College Hockey Association's Silver Division with a superb 12-1-1 conference record.</p>
<p>The RoughRiders (23-14-4, 50 points) are currently in second place in the United States Hockey League's East Division. The Riders will host the Tri-City Storm tomorrow night at 7:05 before welcoming the Lancers Saturday evening.</p>
<p>Tickets for all RoughRiders home games- including this weekend's- can be purchased in person at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office, over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or on line at www.roughridershockey.com. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days, including this Saturday. Ticket prices ranges from $7 to $17, including a 50-cent facility fee.</p> |
