Game Summary: January 27, 2006- RoughRiders 5 Green Bay 0
<P>January 27, 2006- Al Stalock made 27 saves and Ted Purcell assisted on the first four Cedar Rapids goals as the host RoughRiders shut out the Green Bay Gamblers 5-0 Friday night.</P>
<P>The Riders jumped out of the gate with three first period goals and never looked back. The Riders first took the lead when Nik Sellers scored on the power play at 3:17 of the first period. Sellers buried a cross-crease pass from Purcell to make it 1-0.</P>
<P>The Riders were again on the power play when Chad Costello took a Purcell feed and jammed the puck in past the short side post at 11:15.</P>
<P>Just over two minutes later Kevin Wehrs fired Purcell's centering pass in off the goal post to make it 3-0.</P>
<P>Early in the second period, the Riders extended the lead to four with their third power play goal in as many opportunities. Purcell steered the puck loose in the goal mouth and David Strathman snapped it past Green Bay starting goaltender Eddie Neville (18 saves).</P>
<P>Jacob Cepis capped off the Rider onslaught with a penalty shot goal at 10:33 of the second. Cepis tucked the puck between Neville's pads to make it 5-0.</P>
<P>Neville was replaced in goal by Max Strang at the start of the third period, but by then the damage had already been done.</P>
