Game Summary: January 21, 2006- RoughRiders 2 Chicago 3
<p>January 21, 2006- Eric Lampe and Dan Ryan scored third period shorthanded goals just over a minute apart and the Chicago Steel came from behind to defeat the host RoughRiders 3-2 Saturday night.</p>
<p>The Riders led 2-1 until Lampe, who finished the night with one goal and two assists, capitalized on a Rider defensive zone turnover by tucking a backhander between the pads of Cedar Rapids goaltender Pat McGann (18 saves). </p>
<p>Just 1:16 later, the Steel took the lead for the first time when Ryan buried a rebound for his second goal of the night after McGann stopped Lampe's initial charge into the goalmouth.</p>
<p>The Riders pressed for a late equalizer, but were stonewalled by Chicago netminder Eric Pfligler, who finished with 28 saves.</p>
<p>The Riders first took the lead just 76 seconds into the game when Ryan Gunderson tipped in a Kevin Wehrs blue line blast.</p>
<p>Ryan tied the game at one at 5:17 of the first period when his shot from the left wing boards slipped past Rider goaltender Pat McGann.</p>
<p>Undaunted, the Riders retook the lead when Jacob Cepis finished off a tic-tac-toe passing play by sweeping a Ryan Gunderson goalmouth feed into the gaping net.</p>
