Game Summary: January 20, 2006- RoughRiders 3 Des Moines 0
<p>January 20, 2006- Al Stalock made 43 saves as the RoughRiders shut out the host Des Moines Buccaneers 3-0 Friday night. </p>
<p>Stalock was sharp from the start, stonewalling Des Moines as the Bucs generated a series of chances in the opening stages of the first period. Instead, it was the Riders who scored the opening goal 14:11 into the game while on the power play. Andy Miele blasted a high shot past Des Moines netminder Troy Davenport (16 saves) from the top of the right wing circle to make it 1-0.</p>
<p>At 7:30 of the second period, Chad Costello scored the Riders' second power play goal on as many chances. Costello swept a Ted Purcell feed home from the doorstep to extend the lead to 2-0.</p>
<p>Gary Steffes' breakaway goal gave the Riders the 3-0 lead at 15:37 of the second. </p>
