Game Summary: January 18, 2006- RoughRiders 2 Sioux Falls 3 (Shootout)

<p>January 18, 2006- Mark Magnowski and Zach Redmond scored shootout goals for the host Sioux Falls Stampede while only Nik Sellers converted for the RoughRiders as the Stampede scored a 3-2 shootout victory Wednesday night.</p> <p>The Riders, who did earn one point for the shootout loss, nearly won the game in regulation, but Sioux Falls' Andreas Nodl scored from the edge of the crease to tie the game with just 2:22 left in the third period.</p> <p>The Riders nursed a 2-1 lead through most of the second and third periods after Chad Costello snapped a 1-1 deadlock at 3:16 of the second. Costello took an Andy Miele centering pass and skated down the slot to beat Sioux Falls goaltender John Murray (28 saves). </p> <p>Costello's goal broke a tie that lasted a mere 21 seconds. It was Jacob Drewiske who got the Stampede on the scoreboard by burying the rebound at the 2:55 mark of the second after Rider netminder Al Stalock made one of his 40 saves on Drewiske's initial bid.</p> <p>The Riders first took the lead at 16:26 of the first period when Jordan Pietrus scored from a bad angle. </p> <P><A href="http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/boxscore.html?gameid=232601" target=_blank>Box Score</A></P>
