Game Summary: December 30, 2005- RoughRiders 3 Lincoln 4 (OT)
<p>December 30, 2005- Mike Davies scored at 2:15 of overtime to give the host Lincoln Stars a 4-3 win over the RoughRiders Friday night. </p>
<p>The Riders did pick up one point for the sudden death defeat.</p>
<p>Davies battled down the Rider slot on a partial breakaway and knocked the puck past Rider goaltender Pat McGann to end a see-saw contest.</p>
<p>McGann took the overtime loss despite a strong 32-save effort.</p>
<p>The Riders and Stars produced a goal apiece in each of the three regulation periods.</p>
<p>At 9:18 of the third period, the Riders took an extremely short lived 3-2 lead when Jacob Cepis scored on a partial breakaway. The advantage lasted a mere five seconds before Lincoln's Ben Grotting grabbed the puck off the center ice face off and broke in alone at the other end to snap the puck home.</p>
<p>Lincoln had taken its first lead of the game when Derek Roehl scored from the side of the net to make it 2-1 at 3:04 of the second period. Just under two minutes later, the game was deadlocked again as Dustin Cloutier charged into the goalmouth to convert a Chad Costello centering feed.</p>
<p>It was the Riders who opened the scoring 10:56 into the game when Jordan Pietrus snapped the puck past Lincoln netminder Steve Jakiel (27 saves) from the slot. The 1-0 lead lasted only until the Stars' Brett Bandazian scored off a goalmouth scramble at 15:13 of the first period. </p>
