Game Summary: December 7, 2005- RoughRiders 1 Sioux Falls 3
<p>December 7, 2005- Ryan Thang and Mark Magnowski scored just under two minutes apart in the first period as the host Sioux Falls Stampede jumped out to a 2-0 lead and went on to defeat the RoughRiders 3-1 Wednesday night.</p><p>David Strathman's power play goal cut the Sioux Falls lead to 2-1with just 34 seconds left in the first. Strathman snapped the puck home from the bottom of the right circle to put the Riders on the scoreboard.</p><p>The Riders, however, were unable to produce a tying goal despite outshooting Sioux Falls 39-34 on the night and 27-15 over the final two periods.</p><p>Travis Vermeulen's goal at 14:52 of the third period finished off the Riders. Vermeulen latched onto a Ben Holmstrom feed and charged down the slot to tuck the puck past Rider netminder Al Stalock.</p><p><a href="http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/boxscore.html?gameid=232533" target="_blank">Box Score</a></p> |
