Game Summary: December 2, 2005- RoughRiders 4 Lincoln 2
<p>December 2, 2005- Ryan Gunderson scored two goals and Al Stalock made 31 saves as the RoughRiders defeated the host Lincoln Stars 4-2 Friday night.</p>
<p>Gunderson opened the scoring when he buried a Ray Kaunisto centering pass 5:48 into the game. </p>
<p>The Riders took a 2-0 lead at 11:24 of the first when Chad Costello converted a cross-crease feed from Phil Axtell.</p>
<p>The Stars would battle back to tie the game on goals from J.J. Koehler and James Perkin. </p>
<p>Lincoln was on the power play when Koehler knocked in a rebound from the side of the net to get the Stars on the scoreboard at 13:11 of the first.</p>
<p>James Perkin charged into the goalmouth to even the score at two at 8:06 of the second period.</p>
<p>Just 27 seconds later, the Riders regained the lead for good. Jacob Cepis walked in alone and tucked a backhander past Lincoln goaltender Bryan Hogan to put Cedar Rapids on top 3-2.</p>
<p>At 7:47 of the third period Gunderson provided the Riders with some insurance when he broke in 2-on-1 with Gary Steffes and snapped the puck home from the left wing circle Gunderson's second goal came a matter of minutes after Lincoln's Danny Baco broke in alone with a chance to tie the game only to be denied by Stalock. Stalock stopped 12 Lincoln shots while keeping the Stars off the scoreboard in the third period.</p>
