Game Summary: October 22, 2005- RoughRiders 4 Chicago 5
<p>October 22, 2005- Chris Clackson scored his second power play goal of the night with 2:14 left in the third period to snap a 4-4 tie and the Chicago Steel held on a for a 5-4 win over the host RoughRiders Saturday night.</p>
<p>Clackson batted the puck home in a goalmouth scramble for Chicago's fourth power play goal of the game and the seventh man advantage goal of the evening overall.</p>
<p>The Riders entered the third down 4-2 but rallied to tie the score on two Chad Costello goals. Costello first scored the Riders' only even strength goal of the night, jabbing the puck over the goal line at 4:05 to bring Cedar Rapids within one.</p>
<p>The Riders were up 5-on-3 when Costello buried a goalmouth feed from Phil Axtell to tie the game at four at the 13:59 mark.</p>
<p>The Riders were forced to battle from behind in the third after the Steel took command of the game with three straight power play goals.</p>
<p>The Riders were down two men when Nate Perkovich triggered the Steel run at 17:45 of the first period by sweeping the puck under Rider goaltender Al Stalock from the side of the net. Perkovich's goal evened the score at two.</p>
<p>Just 31 seconds later the Steel was on a 5-on-4 advantage when Brandon Coccimiglio tucked a rebound home to give Chicago its first lead of the night.</p>
<p>Chicago was once more on the advantage when Clackson converted a Dan Kissell centering past to extend the lead to 4-2 at 6:15 of the second period.</p>
<p>It was the Riders who first cranked up the power play attack. Cedar Rapids was up a man when Phil Axtell scored from the goalmouth to give the Riders a 1-0 lead 7:57 into the game.</p>
<p>After Randy Guzior scored Chicago's lone even strength goal from the doorstep to tie the score at 13:10 of the first, the Riders bounced back just under two minutes later to retake the lead with another power play goal. Ted Purcell snapped a wrist shot past Chicago netminder Shaun Williams to put Cedar Rapids on top 2-1.</p>
