The Elms To Perform After RoughRiders' November 18 Game

<p>September 23, 2005- Rock band The Elms will perform after the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders' Friday, November 18 home game against the Des Moines Buccaneers.</p> <p>The concert will immediately follow the hockey game, which starts at 7:05PM.</p> <p>The Elms last month signed an exclusive recording agreement with Universal Music Group's Universal South Records and have just finished recording their debut general market CD, which will be released in early 2006. The band is composed of Owen Thomas (vocals and guitar), Christopher Thomas (drums and vocals), Thomas Daugherty (guitar and vocals), Nathan W. Bennett (bass guitar and vocals). More information on the Elms can be found at the band's website, www.theelms.net.</p> <p>Tickets for the November 18 game- as well as the rest of the RoughRiders' regular season home games- will go on sale at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office Monday. The ticket office will be open from noon to 5:00PM Monday through Friday and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Tickets can be purchased in person at the box office, over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or on line at www.roughridershockey.com. The RoughRiders also offer ticket discounts for groups of 15 or more.</p> <p>The RoughRiders will open the regular season this Saturday at 7:05PM when they meet the Tri-City Storm in Kearney, Nebraska. The Riders will play their home opener Saturday, October 8, at 7:05 against the Green Bay Gamblers.</p> <p>Entering their seventh season, the RoughRiders have secured a place as one of the premier organizations in the USHL. The RoughRiders are the reigning Clark Cup and East Division champions and Anderson Cup co-champions. The Riders have posted winning records each of the last five seasons and have qualified for the Clark Cup playoffs each of the last five years.</p>
