RoughRiders Single Game Tickets On Sale Monday
<p>September 21, 2005- Single game tickets for Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 2005-06 regular season home games will go on sale Monday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office.</p>
<p>The ticket office will be open from noon to 5:00PM Monday through Friday and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Tickets can be purchased in person at the box office or over the phone at (319) 261-4625. New this season, tickets will also be available on line at www.roughridershockey.com.</p>
<p>"We're happy to be able to offer the added convenience of on line ticketing," said RoughRiders Director of Ticket Sales Darik Anderson. "This will certainly make buying RoughRiders tickets that much easier for our fans." </p>
<p>The Riders will play their home opener Saturday, October 8, at 7:05 against the Green Bay Gamblers. Prior to the start of the home opener, the RoughRiders will celebrate their historic 2004-05 season by raising Clark Cup, Anderson Cup and East Division championship banners to the rafters of the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. The Riders will also conduct a special number retirement ceremony as part of the pregame festivities. </p>
<p>In addition, all fans in attendance at the home opener will receive free 2005-06 RoughRiders magnet schedules.</p>
<p>Beginning with the home opener, the RoughRiders will be in action at the ice arena on four consecutive Saturday nights.</p>
<p>Ticket prices range from $7.00 to $17.00, including a fifty-cent facility fee. </p>
<p>Individual ticket sales begin as the RoughRiders continue a strong season ticket drive. The Riders have already experienced a ten percent increase in season tickets for the 2005-06 campaign. Season tickets are still available through the RoughRiders' business office (247-0340). </p>
<p>In addition to full season tickets, the RoughRiders also offer the Fun Flex Plan, which enables fans to purchase books of ten ticket vouchers that can be redeemed in any quantity for any regular season home game during normal box office hours. Fans who purchase the Fun Flex Plan receive a discount ($15) by investing in bulk tickets and can still enjoy the games of their choice in the seats they want. </p>
<p>"Ticket sales have been very strong this summer, so we're expecting to be pretty busy when single game tickets go on sale Monday," said Anderson.</p>
<p>The RoughRiders will open the regular season this Saturday at 7:05PM when they meet the Tri-City Storm in Kearney, Nebraska. </p>
<p>Entering their seventh season, the RoughRiders have secured a spot as one of the top organizations in the USHL. The RoughRiders are the reigning Clark Cup and East Division champions and Anderson Cup co-champions. The Riders have posted winning records each of the last five seasons and have qualified for the Clark Cup playoffs each of the last five years.</p> |
