RoughRiders Add Three to Staff

<P><B>July 14, 2005</B> - The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have added three new staff members, the RoughRiders announced today. Mark Meyer is the Riders&#8217; new corporate sales executive, Matt Gaudry joins the team as an account executive and Patty Rodenkirk takes over as office administrator.</P> <P>Meyer arrives after previously working as a media consultant for the Corridor Business Journal. With the Riders, he will be responsible for establishing and servicing corporate partnerships and for coordinating in-game promotions. Meyer, who grew up in Cedar Rapids, attended St. Mary&#8217;s University in Winona, Minnesota.</P> <P>Gaudry joins the Riders after graduating from University of Idaho with a B.S. in Marketing. Gaudry had previously worked as an intern for the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. Immediately after graduating from Idaho, Gaudry attended the Game Face Academy, a premier sports marketing and sales training academy.</P> <P>With the Riders, Gaudry will be active in season and group ticket sales, ticket office operations and game operations.</P> <P>Rodenkirk assumes all of the Riders&#8217; accounting responsibilities and will also assist in the ticket office and coordinate the Ricochet&#8217;s &#8216;Lil Riders Kids Club.</P> <P>Prior to joining the Riders, Rodenkirk spent 21 years as the accounting manager for a Cedar Rapids hotel management company and, before that, worked in the accounting department of Excide Battery in Manchester for six years. A native of Earlville, Rodenkirk is a graduate of Area I Technical College (now Northeast Iowa Community College) in Dubuque.</P> <P>The Clark Cup Champion RoughRiders will open the 2005-06 season on September 24 when they meet the Tri-City Storm in Kearney, Nebraska. The Riders will open on home ice on Saturday, October 8 when they play host to the Green Bay Gamblers at 7:05PM.</P> <P>2005-06 RoughRiders season tickets are currently available through the Riders&#8217; business office (247-0340). Fans who pay for season tickets in full before August 31 will receive a discount in addition to a host of other benefits available exclusively to season ticket holders.</P> <P>The RoughRiders last season won the first United States Hockey League Clark Cup (playoff) title in team history and also claimed a share of the Anderson Cup (regular season) title for the first time ever. The Riders went 42-13-5 last season, the best record in team history.</P> <P>&nbsp;</P>
