RoughRiders’ Fan Bus to Sioux City Departs Saturday
<p>May 3, 2005- A fan bus is available for Cedar Rapids RoughRiders fans who wish to travel to Sioux City Saturday for game four of the United States Hockey League Clark Cup finals between the RoughRiders and Sioux City Musketeers.</p>
<p>The cost of the trip is $50 per person and includes both transportation to and from Sioux City and a ticket to the game. The bus will depart from the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena at 1:00PM Saturday afternoon. Game four will face off at 7:05PM Saturday evening at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City. The bus will leave Sioux City immediately following the game.</p>
<p>Reservations for the fan bus can be made by calling the RoughRiders at (319) 247-0340 or in person at the Riders’ downtown business office. The sign-up deadline for the fan bus is Friday at noon. Reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. The bus trip will go ahead as long as a minimum of 40 reservations have been paid for in full by Friday at noon.</p>
<p>The Riders and Musketeers have split the first two games of the best-of-five finals. The Riders won the series opener 5-0 last Friday in Cedar Rapids before the Musketeers evened the series with a 2-1 victory Sunday evening at the ice arena. Game three will be played Thursday at 7:05PM in Sioux City. If a fifth game is required to settle the series, it would take place next Monday in Cedar Rapids at 7:05PM.</p>
<p>Tickets for a potential fifth game of the finals are currently on sale at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office (261-4625). Ticket prices range from $9 to $18. Should a game five be necessary, the ticket office will be open from noon to 4:00PM on Sunday and from noon through the end of the second period on Monday. </p>
<p>The Clark Cup is symbolic of supremacy in American junior hockey and is presented annually to the playoff champions of the USHL, the nation’s only Tier I junior league. </p> |
