Game Summary: March 26, 2005- Tri-City 4 RoughRiders 2

<p>Jarod Palmer scored two goals as the host Tri-City Storm defeated the RoughRiders 4-2 Saturday night.</p> <p>Palmer gave the Storm a 1-0 lead at 14:20 of the first period. The Tri-City captain&#8217;s shot from the right wing boards was deflected past Rider goaltender Alex Stalock.</p> <p>The Riders evened the score at 1:28 of the second period when Ray Eichenlaub wristed the puck home through traffic.</p> <p>Just over two minutes later, Palmer put the Storm back on top for good. Palmer skated down the slot unchecked and backhanded a Cody Chupp centering pass over the sprawling Stalock.</p> <p>Ryan Gunderson scored what would prove to be the game winning goal at 17:47 of the second period. Gunderson took a feed from Michael Pilot and buried it from the doorstep to extend the Tri-City lead to 3-1.</p> <p>Rob Ricci sparked the Riders and cut the Storm lead to one with a power play goal just 12 seconds into the third period. Ted Purcell corralled the puck beside the goal and fed Ricci between the circles. Ricci fired the puck into the gaping net before Tri-City netminder Michael Zacharias could move across the goalmouth.</p> <p>Tomas Troliga would respond for Tri-City at 8:05 of the third period. Brian Kilburg&#8217;s shot from the top of the right wing circle was stopped by Stalock, by Troliga was on hand to snap the rebound in from close range and make the score 4-2. </p> <p>The Riders pulled Stalock while on the power play late in the third to create a 6-on-4 advantage, but were unable to produce any late fireworks.</p> <p><a href="http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/boxscore.html?gameid=134828" target="_blank">Box Score</a></p>
