Game Summary: March 19, 2005- RoughRiders 4 Waterloo 1
<p>Ted Purcell scored two goals and the RoughRiders
defeated the host Waterloo Black Hawks 4-1.</p>
<p>The win was the Riders' fortieth of the season.</p>
<p>After a scoreless first period, former Rider Sean
Muncy charged into the goalmouth to give the Black
Hawks a 1-0 lead at 1:52 of the second period.<p>
<p>Purcell tied the score at 5:22 of the second, walking
in on net and lifting a backhander under the crossbar.</p>
<p>Just 29 seconds later, Ray Eichenlaub skated down the
slot unchecked and tucked the puck past Waterloo
goaltender Drew O'Connell to give the Riders a 2-1
lead.</p>
<p>Purcell struck again at 9:10 of the second to extend
the Rider lead to 3-1. Purcell buried a Rob Ricci
centering pass on a 2-on-1 rush.</p>
<p>The Riders protected the two goal lead deep into the
third period until Jon Grabarek finished off Waterloo
with and empty net goal in the final minute.</p>
<p>Alex Stalock made 31 saves to earn the win in goal.</p>
