Game Summary: March 18, 2005- RoughRiders 8 Chicago 2

<p>Matt Vokes, Jordan Pietrus and Rob Ricci scored two goals apiece and the RoughRiders rolled to an 8-2 win over the Chicago Steel in what was the Riders&#8217; final regular season home game.</p> <p>With four assists on the night Ted Purcell reached 59 points for the season, a new Rider single season record.</p> <p>Purcell was not the only Rider to write his name in the club record book.</p> <p>Vokes tied the team record for most goals in one season (27).</p> <p>Ricci matched another club record by extending his point-scoring streak to ten straight games.</p> <p>The Riders scored six unanswered goals to turn a game that was tied at two in the second period into a rout.</p> <p>Pietrus scored from the high slot to break the tie at 7:30 of the second period.</p> <p>With just 3.5 seconds left in the second and the Riders on the power play, Ricci fired the puck home through traffic to extend the lead to 4-2.</p> <p>There was no let up from the Riders in the third period. Alec Martinez made it 5-2 just 2:02 into the second when he roofed the puck from the left wing circle.</p> <p>Pietrus crashed the net to score his second at 13:40 of the third. </p> <p>Ricci capped off the night for the Riders when he buried the puck from the left wing circle at 16:16 to make it 8-2 with what was the Riders&#8217; fourth power play goal of the game.</p> <P><A href="http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/boxscore.html?gameid=134808" target=_blank>Box Score</A></P>
