Anderson Joins RoughRiders as Director of Ticket Sales

<p>March 18, 2005- Darik Anderson has been named the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders&#8217; new Director of Ticket Sales, the RoughRiders announced today. </p> <p>Anderson joins the Riders after spending two seasons with the Arena Football League&#8217;s Las Vegas Gladiators, where he was a senior ticket account executive. During his time with the Gladiators, Anderson played a key role in all areas of ticket sales, promotions, sponsorships and game operations and also acted as the team&#8217;s head game day statistician.</p> <p>&#8220;We&#8217;re very excited about having Darik join us,&#8221; said RoughRiders Vice President of Operations Jim Calpin. &#8220;He is one of the top ticket executives in the Arena Football League and he will be a great addition to our staff.&#8221;</p> <p>Prior to joining the Gladiators, Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing at Brigham Young University &#8211; Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho.</p> <p>While in Rexburg, Anderson worked part-time at Franklin Covey, Co. in Idaho Falls, Idaho, as a Product Consultant, overseeing customer service, specialized training and marketing campaigns.</p> <p>After graduating from BYU &#8211; Idaho, Anderson attended the Game Face Inc., Executive Academy. Game Face is the leading sports marketing and sales training company.</p> <p>&#8220;It&#8217;s gratifying to see the progress Darik has made since he attended our Executive Academy nearly two years ago,&#8221; said Game Face Senior Director Corey Kearsley, who directed much of Anderson&#8217;s work during his Academy experience. &#8220;We found him to be disciplined, motivated and ethical. The success he had in the Academy was a precursor to his rapid progression in the industry. His experience in the sports business epitomizes the results Game Face set out to achieve when we founded the Academy five years ago. We&#8217;re excited to see Darik join the Cedar Rapids organization and look forward to great things from him there.&#8221;</p> <p>Darik, and his wife Kristine, have been married for four years and are expecting their first child, a baby girl, in June.</p> <p>The RoughRiders (38-11-5, 81 points) are in first place overall in the United States Hockey League and have already clinched the USHL&#8217;s East Division- the first division title in club history. The Riders play their final regular season season home game tonight at 7:05 against the Chicago Steel.</p> <p>Tickets for tonight&#8217;s game and RoughRiders first round home playoff games are now on sale at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office. Tickets can be purchased over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or in person at the ice arena. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices for tonight&#8217;s game range from $8.00 to $17.00 including a 50-cent facility fee. </p>
