Game Summary: March 5, 2005- RoughRiders 3 Omaha 1
<p>Dan Tormey made 47 saves as the RoughRiders defeated the host Omaha Lancers 3-1 Saturday night.</p>
<p>With the win, the Riders tied the United States Hockey League record for most road victories (20) in a season.</p>
<p>The Riders won their fifth straight despite being outshot 48-17. Tormey made 16 saves in the first period, 15 in the second and 16 more in the third.</p>
<p>The Riders jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead.</p>
<p>Erik Felde’s breakaway goal made it 1-0 at 7:17.</p>
<p>Rob Ricci fired the puck under the cross bar from the right wing circle to double the lead at 15:57.</p>
<p>The Riders stretched the lead to three goals when Matt Vokes scored on a breakaway at 17:14 of the second period.</p>
<p>The Lancers got on the scoreboard while on the power play just 50 seconds later. Tormey stopped a Brett Motherwell drive, but Corey Carlson was on hand to bury the rebound.</p>
<p>The Lancers tried to narrow the gap further in the third period, even pulling goaltender Jeff Lerg with two minutes and thirty-seconds left, but Tormey and the Riders held on.</p>
