RoughRiders Single Game Tickets On Sale Monday

<P>September 28, 2004 - Single game tickets for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders&#8217; first 13 home games of the 2004-05 season will go on sale Monday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office.</P> <P>The ticket office will be open from noon to 5:00PM Monday through Friday and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Tickets for all home games through the end of December can be purchased in person at the box office or over the phone at (319) 261-4625. Tickets for the second half of the season will go on sale at a later date.</P> <P>The Riders will play their home opener Saturday, October 16, at 7:05 against their arch rivals, the defending Clark Cup champion Waterloo Black Hawks. Beginning with the home opener, the RoughRiders will be in action at the ice arena on three consecutive Saturday nights.</P> <P>Ticket prices range from $8.00 to $17.00, including a fifty-cent facility fee. Again this season, the RoughRiders are also offering the Family Pack, which enables fans to purchase four tickets, four hot dogs, four fountain drinks and one game program for $44 at all Friday and Sunday home games.</P> <P>Individual ticket sales begin as the RoughRiders continue a strong season ticket drive. The Riders have already sold over 1,200 season tickets for the 2004-05 campaign. Season tickets are still available through the RoughRiders&#8217; business office (247-0340).</P> <P>&#8220;We&#8217;re very excited about the upcoming season after such strong summer sales,&#8221; said RoughRiders Director of Ticket Operations and Merchandise Jen Halverson. &#8220;We anticipate a very busy time in the ticket office when single game seats go on sale next week.&#8220;</P> <P>The RoughRiders raised the curtain on the regular season last Saturday with a 4-3 shootout win over the Des Mines Buccaneers in Urbandale. The Riders return to action Thursday night when they take on the Chicago Steel in Bensenville, Illinois.</P> <P>Over their first five seasons, the Riders have secured a place as one of the top organizations in the United States Hockey League. The RoughRiders are one of just three teams to have reached the USHL playoffs each of the last four seasons and last year set a franchise record for wins in a season. The Riders are also annually among the league leaders in attendance, frequently drawing sellout crowds to the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.</P>
