The RoughRiders went 1-1-1 in three games last week. A 3-2 overtime win over Waterloo last Wednesday in Cedar Rapids was the Riders’ fourth straight victory. That streak ended with a 5-4 loss in Waterloo the following evening. The Riders earned one point for a 2-1 shootout loss last Saturday at Tri-City.

The RoughRiders took over first place in the United States Hockey League’s East Division with three wins in five days last week. The Riders dropped the Indiana Ice 6-4 last Tuesday in Indianapolis and then dramatically swept a pair of games from the Des Moines Buccaneers over the weekend. The Riders edged the Bucs 3-2 in overtime last Friday in Cedar Rapids and then slipped past the Bucs 4-3 in a shootout one night later in Urbandale.

The RoughRiders have lost their last two games- the Riders’ first back-to-back defeats of the season. The Riders fell to the Des Moines Buccaneers 4-3 last Saturday. With the win, the Buccaneers moved past the Riders into first place in the United States Hockey League’s East Division. The Riders are now tied for second in the east with the Indiana Ice.
