RoughRiders' "Guns & Hoses" Jersey Auction Raises Over $6,500

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders raised more than $6,500 in a special live jersey auction benefiting the Red Cross, the Salvation Army and Survivors of Homicide last Friday night at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. The special edition "Guns & Hoses" jerseys worn by the Riders in their 5-4 win over the Indiana Ice Friday evening went up for bid immediately following the game.

Guns & Hoses Night Kicks Off RoughRider Home Weekend

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will honor local law enforcement officers and fire fighters with “Guns & Hoses Night” when the Riders host the Indiana Ice this Friday at 7:05PM. The Riders will also be in action on Saturday evening as the Sioux Falls Stampede visits the ice arena for another 7:05 game.

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders lost to Green Bay 4-2 last night. The defeat ended a streak that had seen the Riders go unbeaten in regulation (15-0-2) in 17 straight games. The loss to the Gamblers was the Riders’ first regulation setback since a 5-1 loss to Tri-City on November 6. The defeat also ended the Riders’ six game winning streak.
